POZZOLINI LORENZO. S.r.l.
Siena-Florence motorway
The intervention concerned the repair of the damaged kerb along a section of the Siena-Florence motorway, on a bridge with a total length of 800 metres.
The work was carried out in both directions, organising the site in alternating operational phases in order to ensure the continuity of vehicular traffic and maintain high safety standards for both users and operators.
The kerb and part of the slab at the extrados were demolished to a thickness of approximately 40 cm, exposing the reinforcement. To ensure maximum precision of intervention and preserve the integrity of reinforcement bars, demolition was carried out by robotized hydroscarification, a technique that allows controlled and selective removal of deteriorated concrete.
The waste water generated during processing was collected, channelled and treated: thanks to the addition of flocculant, the sludge was separated and the water purified, allowing it to be reused in the processing cycle, with a view to efficiency and environmental sustainability.
